Greetings…..this letter is to introduce a new alternative full and partial denture service provider to South Dakota. My name is Rick Miller, DDM.
I am a practitioner of Medical Denturitry. (Den-tur-it-tree) I am not a physician a dentist or a dental lab technician. Although, some of my services overlap with these and other professions.
A Medical Denturitry practitioner offers the public access to a complementary and alternative health care provider for individuals seeking removable oral prosthetic care and treatment.
With a Holistic approach, a Medical Denturitry practitioner’s education is centered around removable prosthesis and their interaction with the psycho logic, physiologic, and the biomechanical needs of the patient who can no longer maintain their natural teeth.
The services provided by a Medical Denturitry practitioner includes………….. full and partial dentures, relines, repairs, adjustments, TMJ/TMD evaluations, splints, and snoring devices.
I have been making dentures since 1973. I have held positions of President of state associations, legal and legislative chairman of our national association. I also, have been a strong advocate for our profession education leading to a Doctor of Medical Denturitry degree. I took these jobs very seriously, costing myself personal and professional grief fighting our main competitor the American and state dental associations.
I do not believe in the use of denture adhesive, nor am I an advocate for implants. I work with implants but highly recommend that the patient searches “patient complaints” on implants so they can be fully aware what this service is all about. So, if you have been told that this is the only way you will ever be able to wear full or partial dentures….
