Denture Maintenance

Denture Solutions

Taking care of your dentures is essential to their longevity. Gums and ridges are the most important when wearing and using your dentures.

At least twice a day, you should rinse your mouth with warm saltwater. Once in the morning, after cleaning your dentures or any time you think you are getting a sore, then again in the evening. Use one teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt to 6-8 oz of warm water.

The salt is good for you! it has 84 minerals that keep your tissue healthy and help eliminate inflammation. Most importantly, WEAR YOUR DENTURES! Day and night, that is what they are made for.

Cleaning Your Dentures

  • Everyday, brush your dentures with any nonabrasive, flavored toothpaste you like…
  1. At least once a week, while in the shower, soak your dentures in white vinegar. This will keep the plaque and stain off your dentures. If it will not come off, brush it with vinegar and baking soda. Or bring them in for a free cleaning.
  • DO NOT use store-bought denture cleaners or soak them overnight. These cleaners have harmful chemicals in them. Which will remove the stain-resistant coating on your dentures.
  • Wear your dentures! That is what they are made for.
  • Contact us with any concerns regarding your dentures
